This is my first folder in quite a while and my first BM.
After 4 Sebenza's in a row i sold off most of my other folders so this one has a lot to do to impress, but first impressions are very good.

I just got myself a BM 556 Mini Griptilian, my first BM too. (I was looking at te Mini-Ritter but I couldn't justify the extra £20 for the logo and a bit of a hump  )

Have been very impressed by it this weekend as it was the first chance I've had to give it a good workout.

Spent alot of time carving with it and its really very nifty. The security of the lock is very reasuring and it feels as solid as a fixed blade to me.

I like what you've done with the scales RB but I must say I'm developing a penchant for bright yellow folders :D

Just out of interest, I notice from the clips that you 'flick out' the blade. Have you noticed any tightening of the pitvot bolt after doing this at all? I did this a few times at the weekend and have noticed a tightening or stiffness in the opening and closing of the blade.

I think the extra cost is down to the S30V blade in the Ritter Grip.

I didn't change the scales, i bought it from a guy who had quite a few Ritter Grips and Griptillians and he'd been customising them.
I think he wanted something a bit different but it really is only a different colour scale and not something i'd spend money on.

I have flicked it open probably hundreds of time now and it's not tightening the pivot.

Hmmm....I must investigate closer. Its not a great deal stiffer just noticeably so. It hasn't got any stiffer since so maybe its okay >fingers crossed<

I've seen the your thread on BB and sounds like it won't be too difficult to 'explore' if any further problems arise.

Thanks again :240:
