had to come to the rescue of a baby bluetit today, while at a friends house, it had fallen out of the nest and was none the worst of a 5ft fall, with a bit of of carefull encouragment i was able to place it back in the nest which is in the wall of there house, managed to get this quick snap on my phone before mum returned, then spent the next 30mins watching her come back and to to make sure all was well.

Nice one Aragorn.

A chick would normally be a goner if it fell out of the nest when that young.

So that's one up for the little guys/birds.

Good effort mate, well done :D

Must be nice to have such a close brush with nature. I can't remember the last time I even saw a bluetit :(

We have a family of bluetits nesting in the roof of our house. Strange thing is that in the evening when they stop flying a pipestrelle bat uses the same hole!:D
