I dont mean to bug anyone; I understand your working hard behind the scenes ;) just wanted to check if it was just my end or a global-issue... blogs currently not working?

I can submit a blog entry, but nothing shows up when I try to view one's I've made.

Nightwalker,

Its working fine for me - perhaps you haven't clicked the publish button (it confused me at first)

Try this - click on "My Blog Dashboard" on "User Menu" on the left

Click on the "home" tab

If you see your entries but with a red X next to them, click on the X and it will change to the icon you can see below. That will publish your entry

Hope that helps?

Thank you very much British Red, you sorted my problem.

I think that definatly needs to be made a little clearer! I would associate the very small red cross with deleting something. I would have expected it to delete the article, not publish it!? lol. Thanks again.

Remember this is still new to everyone. Maybe if someone wrote a 'how to' the mods/admin could put it up and it would help everyone out.....new things are always a little confusing at first.

Or the icon could just be changed to a more relevant looking icon, would save the time of writing a guide:dunno:

Well not really; with a new website design the aim is to get things nice and clear and concise, as tony has strived to do so far. They've done a good job so far I just thought it would be better if the blog-publish icon didnt look like it deleted something.

- Seriously who would think that would publish?

It could have been anything else; even something simple like a green ball that appears bright green when its up/online/published or a dulled out ball, or red ball when its offline/not published.

Actually that is probably a much better idea, but i still think some how to's or tutorials explaining the use of the new site are needed..... especially for new people comming to the site as there is alot to get your head round here :D

Yeah dont suppose that would be to bad, looks like they're gona need it now with the confusing icon! lol. I just submitted a weblink, on the "Submit WebLink" page there is two icons/buttons, one of them is this:
cancel_f2.png

And as you would expect, this time the icon is used as you would expect to delete/cancel what you are doing.

I must say I'm finding problems. I've just written a blog entry, which dissapeared when I pressed "save", and then the siate appeared to log me out.So it's gone - I could write it all again, but...

[EDIT} my 900th post... YAY!!!
