I think you might have misunderstood my meaning. I didn’t say YouTube was better than blogs; rather that it has more or less replaced them. My meaning was that people (both the audiences and the authors) have migrated away from blogs to videos. Not entirely, but mostly.

Yes I did misunderstand you, although I still wonder if bloggers have moved to you tube or if most have simply given up blogging.

As for me my blog is pretty much dead in the water after having been active for 6-7 years. It was great fun doing it, if only for myself, but you can only write so much, before you start repeating yourself. Besides life has a funny way of forcing some twists and turns upon you. Response was fairly low, but then again I did not expect much either. People just can't be bothered.

There have been a few blogs I've liked over the years but its often hard to sort the wheat from the chaff.
I seem to get directed to them via a search engine and there's maybe a paragraph of useful information thats hidden in one single page thats got the last two years of random stuff in there. Along with masses of adverts about how so and so earns ten grand a day and how... blah...blah...blah.. by then I've lost interest.

For me its the format thats hard work.
