The Desert
Here are some black walnut spoons I carved recently. I discovered that this wood grows on a mountain not too far from where I live. I found a tree cut down by the forest service officials and thrown off to the side. It had been there for years, and the bark was mostly rotted off, but the wood was sound and it's been a joy to carve.
