That first one is a real beauty, lovely clean lines and strong grain pattern.

The walnut spoon is great but the first one is superb goodjob

I agree, Red Beard. The fibers in the grain feel a little different than cherry, not as smooth, but it could be cherry.

Kitharode, show it off! Babies are awfully cute. Then they grow up.... There's something very nice about early spoons....

I'd go along with some species of cherry too, it looks very similar in colour and grain to a cherrywood Kuksa I made recently. I have no matching spoon to go with it yet, but I will be very pleased if it turns out half as good as yours my friend, that's nice work.
