I'm determined to keep this thread alive, and since collecting my Tundra 8, I have a few questions for all you seasoned owners. I hope you don't mind....
We have a little field so I can put it up, however, its not as flat as it could be, so the tent will never be perfectly erected, nonetheless....
I had some issues pegging the tent out in a reasonable circle and had the idea of tying a loop of cord to a 2.5 meter length and using it around the central pole - anyone got any other ideas for setting the pegs out so I don't have to endless re-pegging?
Next, did I see any of you good people with the sod-cloths tucked under the groundsheet as SWMBO believes, even though the peg loops are on the inside of the tent?
And then, has anyone added peg loops or eyelets to the ground-sheet or come up with a method of sealing/securing the ground-sheet to the tent? The girls are worried about creepy-crawlies getting in and would prefer no gaps. Further thinking on this might help with the circular footprint issue mentioned earlier.
My last query is to do with the stove - I know that the heatshield goes between the straps at the apex, but is there a way of knowing where to clamp the chimney section that runs through it or am I headed for a session with a step ladder to see where it all fits together when I finally get it put up satisfactorily.
Any of your comments will be hugely appreciated so thanks in advance.
