As for the Garron pack, it's great to hear that the straps are now a little wider. While I understand that it's not meant for huge loads, when I think of what I sometimes put in my Munro, it's got to be up to that and, ideally, comfortable; I'm sure it will be! It's great, too, that Roger listens in and reacts to comments about it. Generally, these suggestions will only make a great pack even better and it's a rare privilege to have a manufacturer listening carefully to his clients.
When it comes to the axe tube mentioned in an earlier post, that could easily be used for an ice axe when out in the hills in winter despite the fact that years of habit usually makes me shove my ice axe down the side compression straps - it's easier to access it there!
