Towards the end of my Woodlore Camp Craft course we felled a Birch to provide wood for our personal carving projects. I shared a small log, split lengthwise, with the chap I was sharing a shelter with and after much whittling and chipping away with axe, knife and spoon knife, came up with this. I'm pretty pleased with it as a first ever attempt at carving anything more than the inevitable spoon!
