Hi,

A customer asked me to make up a sheath for his Billhook, this is the sheath that i made for it. It is made from 4mm leather the idea was to keep the it as tight to the blade size as possible . The Billhook blade slides into the sheath on a brass bolt, this way the bolt protects the stitching and the welt, the blade is then held in place by two straps with press studs (the wrong way round) and on the top of the sheath i have reinforced it . To close the top of sheath up and hold the blade in place i have used a S/Browne stud so if the press studs come undone the S/Browne stud will hold the blade at the top. As with all my working leather it is stitched with Tiger thread .
