I have a 27 and several Clas Ohlsen clones, and of course my Lovely Optimus Trapper. Oh, and of course various SAT sets, which seem to be my default go-to setting! However, I've always liked the larger 25 set, but for one reason or another never got around to getting one. Now that there are some good deals going on, i'm looking to jump in.

However, that creates a problem. I like the idea of the non-stick version, but worry about its longevity, as once the non-stick gets scratched, its pretty much useless. The plain alu version is cheaper, and I don't really have a problem with cleaning such stuff after cooking, but there's no doubt that the frying pan in nonstick cooks much easier re sticking etc. They also do a hard-anodised version, but I'm not really very clear on what advantages that brings - all help appreciated on that! They used to do a duossal version, but not any more I believe.

So - qny help/comments? All appreciated!

to be fair you can save yourself some money by buying just the aluminium one and get a non stick frying pan (from trangia if you wish) to match the kit as generally youll probably need the non stick just for fry ups where as the pots are usually for stewing curries pasta rice etc....then all you need to do is replace the frying pan when knackered but they do last long if you use plastic or wood spatulas (never metal) and just a soft wet cloth to clean it..

However, does anyone know what the hard-anodised benefits are, if any?

It's less prone to dinks and dents than 'the standard stuff' ;) , HA is less also prone to damp damage.

If you make proper use of the simmer ring and adjust it as and when needed you shouldn't need non stick pans :deadhorse: .
