Knifefan I think the OP is talking about a braided leader (?) or a grippy braid and tube leader, if it's braided line just tie a figure of 8 on the bight to the end of the braid both of the former come with a loop end.

So, tie a figure of 8 on the bight to the end of the mono. Pass the looped end of the braid through the mono loop, take the free end of the mono through the loop of the braid and pull all the mono through until both loops are mated and sitting nice. Blood nots can then be used to add droppers and tying in hooks.


i thought post #10 made clear what i need it for- seems i was not detailed enough...

anyway- i tried the water knot and it seems to work :cool:

See above, better than a water knot as you can simply change the mono, replace it tie on a different rig etc, without cutting the braid....
