As a sister thread to what are you listening too now, I thought I would post this as a thread myself.
Could be the best / worst concert you've ever been too.. How many times have you listened to a band live? Anything really.

Best concert I ever saw is a split between Peter Frampton supporting Deep Purple in Cardiff, Donnington in 81 I believe when ACDC were headlining, Greenman fesitval {I know eclectic music but I love folk too)

Most time Ive seen a band:-
Hawkwind
Supper Furry Animals (i am Welsh)
Iron Maiden
Too many others to mention

Led Zepplin at the Foret National in Brussels - I was "hearing impaired" for days after....
And Steelye Span at the Mwldan in Cardigan.
Wide range of musical tastes...

Ooh ... many in the past, Jethro Tull, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Santana ...

But recently one of the best guitarists that nearly nobody has heard of - Clive Carrol at Rhydycroesau Village Hall (a small village hall not more than 20 minutes from me) in May this year.

Clive plays world tours, has composed film music, and played with such well known names as John Renbourn and John Williams. Total Guitar Magazine called him "...arguably the most accomplished fingerstylist in the world today..." in 2021.

And we paid £15 to spend a couple of hours in a small hall of about 60 people (because he's friends with a local musician). An absolutely stunning evening :)

Probably the most influential was Hawkwind at Stonehenge in 1984. I was a bit out of it and Nik came on stage wearing a weird flesh coloured onesie type thing sporting a blue Mohican horn of hair. Spent the whole time thinking he was naked. I blame the bloke dishing out mushroom cider to everyone.

Probably one of the nicest was seeing Don Cherry at the 100 Club, that was very cool.

To my regret never saw Motorhead. Phil Cambell played in my local pub once playing all rock sock songs from the seventies. And this was backwater territory in the valleys

As an ex roadie, bit spoilt for choice...
Lots of Hawkwind / Motörhead
Most "sh*t was I part of that": Led Zeppelin at Knebworth
Most bizarre : The Tubes
Best light show : Blue Oyster Cult
Loudest : Motörhead (obviously)
I could go on...
Please do

Haven ´t been to that many concerts. But these are the TOP 2.

Big Zappa fan, never got to see the band play live. I fairly recently found out that Zappa visited the UK with a few other American artists in the 70's. He wanted to see an English coastal town and so they drove down to Bognor. Zappa in my home town and I never knew!

He loved it so much he named a single 'Bognor Regis', it's part of the Hot Rats Sessions but never made the album.

Siouxsie and the Banshees right after John MacKay and Kenny Morris left. Budgie took over the drums then. The Cure were supporting, so Robert Smith did guitar; reading the chord changes off a bit of paper and with one foot up on a chair. ... they found MacGeoch after that, so before Juju.

'orkwind were always good. Peter Gabriel right after leaving Genesis. Aswad in Cardiff. AC/DC in the late 70s. Melt Banana in 2007 were excellent then. Wire in Finsbury Park c. 1990. I saw tons of great funk and jazz when I lived in Chicago, but it was a bit of a blur ... Jack DeJohnette's band was a standout.

Many many Glastos all through the 80s and early 90s. New Order, Elvis Costello, The Smiths were all amazing.

I think I'd have liked to have seen this:
