As the title says. Anyone who's owned/owns one of these (and actually uses it) care to share experiences good and bad? What you liked/didn't like etc. Either the standard one or the funky FA one but I'm more interested in the basic one.

I've tried one on and the fit is fine. Not after alternative suggestions just actual user input.

Cheers.

Absolutley bombproof piece of kit. Can swallow a lot more than you think and can carry heavy loads well.

The lid is a bit small for my liking, but that's personal preference. The straps are good, if a little narrow and I recommend a sternum strap as when heavily loaded, they'll dig into your shoulders and pull them back which over distance causes your traps to seize.

It sits high on the back so if you're not used to that it may feel awkward. If you carry it with the shoulder straps longer, it may sit right above your hips and in my experience can pinch if you're wearing a belt.

Would I buy another one? Without a doubt. Brilliant kit.

I recently bought one and like using it. Previously I owned a Centurio 30L for about 8 years. Worth noting I am in equatorial tropics. High humidity and very high spore load( fungus/mould) which takes a toll( rots) lesser gear. Also pushing through foliage here is literally that, driving against vines, creepers, thorn and slipping on your butt into mud or buttscooting rocks and rotten logs. My Berghaus gear has outlasted most other products I have used. I in fact still have a 100L Berghaus Vulcan which needs to be retired but lasted occasional use for 14 years. Not sure why German made gear should be so good in the tropics, Berghaus certainly is.

I've had one for about 8 years give or take along with the side pouches. It's very very robust. Mine is stained in places through use but wear wise it shows very little. The only part that hasn't stood the test of time is the elastic around the lid. Mine has perished so the lid is floppy in places. Other than that it's been great.

Ah I didnt know that. Im ex military myself( Australia), in my 50's and my first introduction to Berghaus products was Germans using them so I guess I put the German name and the whole thing together like that :)

I bought the centurio 30 recently and have been using it over Dartmoor walking .
Proving to be comfortable and adaptable.
Love the zips for the side pockets from my Cyclops to fit .
