belt loops...

A good friend of mine made me a sheath for my knife, but has left me to cut my own belt loops... what's the best easy way of doing it?

Drill 2 holes an inch apart left to right where the top of the belt will be, then 2 holes an inch apart, where the bottom of the belt will be. Using the diameter of the holes as a guide, slice down though the leather with a sharp knife to form 2 slits to pass your belt through.

Punch 4 holes then join with 2 parallel cuts. The holes will stop the cuts lengthening and provide some wiggle room.

I will pass your nice comments on to him. I was genuinely shocked, he is not into bushcraft at all, just fancied getting into leather craft. he not been doing it long either!
