Beef Jerky ?

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
Pilsbury is a chef on this site. He sent me samples of his range of different flavours which are all good. He was also kind enough to send me liver which had been given the same jerky treatment. Now I'm quite partial to liver and to have it as a pocket snack is rather a treat.
I'll try and dig a site address for him out for you.

I think that's the brand they sell in Tesco's, it's ok but not the nicest. I think the best is from this company they do all different flavors I particularly recommend the steak and ale best jerky I ever tasted but pretty expensive and you only get a small amount. The are going to be at the Wilderness gathering I think.

"Not tempted to make your own? If you can cut and turn the oven on you are fully equipped. "

Is this a cheaper option ? i assume i will need to leave the oven on low heat for a long time ?
