Bedroll Straps

Looking for some traditional or homemade bedroll straps.

Like this/similar.

2 dog collars, handbag straps or ladies belts springs to mind. You could rivet the joining bit on easy enough.

What you want is a 'coat sling'. GeoffWood used to make them for sale on here but he hasn't been around since 2012 on BCUK.

He is more regular on BritishBlades (yesterday in fact).

Maybe make your own? A old belt or two, a hole punch, a few rivets and a couple of conway buckles would give you something like ...




It doesn't need such a wide hand strap, half that width fastened with single rivets would suffice.



Space enough to include a bulkier item.



And conway buckles don't require stitching in place
