Chicksands woods is a nice place to go. it would be cool to get a few people out some time and share skills and stories...let me know if your interested
i don't live in that area.
and it's a long shot but i used to work in irthingborough at the frontier center(outdoor )activity center.
when i worked there i was very into bushcraft as was another instructor, you may find a quick phone call might find you some more locals to join your group!
if not they may know of others! (being outdoorsy people!)
you never know!

So who would be able to make it the first weekend in August? Just a day trip to Chicksands forest.

Nope sorry 1st, 2nd & 3rd weekends in August are already booked , sorry Set at day that suits , let me know and I'll see if my plans change at this end
