This is a men's beaver fur jerkin / waistcoat in brilliant condition.

Beaver Front by British Red, on Flickr

Beaver Back by British Red, on Flickr

It has a green lining, wooden toggles with leather loops and two hand warmer pockets

It measures 22" pit to pit and is very comfortable on a 42" chest over a wool shirt (on a 6' tall bloke)

It has no labels or marks but came from Norway.

Superbly warm, sheds wet well and absolutely no marks, tears or stains.

The only reason for selling is I have my heavy sheepskin one now which has specialised cartridge pockets.

£40 to your door by PayPal for the mountain men amongst us.

I've honestly no idea - that one came from Norway. Its light and quite thin but very warm.

I know Beaver is still trapped in the US and Canada so they might have something similar (this one is a handmade item - I suspect others would have to be too).

I am a lover of the fur or hide jerkin. Worn over a wool shirt they are great and not "restrictive" as a coat can feel.

Pop over to Bushcraft USA and pop the question Samon. Or I can ask on your behalf if you don't have an account. Just let me know.

< If its the latter I may have to borrow the photo if thats OK Red? >

That one was a gift to me from a kind person :) Its a great bit of kit and I hope mr punch has many more years of use from it.

I was out shooting today and it was cold and crisp but a Pendleton wool shirt under my heavy sheepskin jerkin and I was toasty - and my arms were free to operate the rifle comfortably. I really think the jerkin is and under rated garment in this country.

I like my ex-army leather jerkin, surprisingly warm with just a blanket lining.
