I have the paracord wrapped one. I like it holds an edge and feels comfortable in my big hands.
The only priblem I have is that the sheath has loosened up and the knife will not stay securely in it. I really like this knife as a neck knife, but until I get the sheath tightened up I can't carry it.

I had the ultra compact for a while. The knife itself was fine - I quite liked it in fact. The thing which made me sell it on was that it had a loose sheath. If you're going to make a leather one that ceases to be an issue, and of the two that is the one I'd go for - mainly because I think cord wrapped handles hold moisture, dirt etc.

(Incidentally there was a good review of the compact - not the ultra compact - on here a while ago, and which you may find interesting).

Hope that helps.
