I should imagine key words such as knife, gun, hunting etc will upset a few of the access control services.

That wasy first thought. Why would your ISP filter ANYTHING at your home computer unless you set it up to?
It now works the opposite way to that in the UK. Your internet access is filtered unless you request that the filter is switched off:

Work/public sector access is restricted, same as hospitals. Courts in the UK (and the USA) block some torrent sites but it never works.
I think we are looking at two specific and different things. One is filter software applied by a company to restrict access to certain content in the work place (or other public building). The other is a responsibility imposed by government on ISPs. This is the former
