Someone on here said you can take the cells out of a laptop battery and replace duds with usables.

is this easy?

Its not worth messing about with Tengu when you can get a replacement off eBay that don't cost the earth. What model laptop is it?

what Rik said, re-celling is a nightmare and you can easily scrap the battery case trying to pry it apart. Scavaging 18650s for other uses from the old battery is usually fine though as it doesnt matter if you mash the case.
