Basic leather hip quiver.

Hi all,
made this hip quiver on the weekend and im pretty happy with it. I mae a back quiver a while ago which i need to find pictures of, which was more decorated and generally better quality than this, but that was a birthday present for a friend. i need to dig up the photos of that. anyway, this is functional and holds 8 field tips or 3 field tips and 3 blunts just about.

So what's better/more practical, the hip quiver or the back quiver?

depends what you're doing really. i like my hip quiver because it's small, light, holds just the right amount of arrows, and i can draw arrows out of it without making a big movement or hitting branches. with a backquiver your often hit things above your head if your stumping in forest, but a back quiver can hold a lot more arrows, closer to your body, and if you want to do speed shooting you need one. one thing i dont luike about the hip quiver is that you have arrows sticking out behind you to get caught on thins. but this is easily remedied by holding the close to your body when going round corners.

nice quiver. i made my quiver so i can use it on my hip or back but i always use it as a hip quiver and leave back quivers for movie stars

i know what you mean! back quivers are great for speed shooting, holdign lots of arrows, and looking like robin hood, but thats about it!
