cheers toddy.....lol dread....i'm trying to feel apologetic.....but i cant lol

(dont tell anyone only one of the sticks 'twirly bits' is actually 'carved',...the rest were spun on my grinder....much easier lol)

having said that just stripping the bark off 20 or 30 feet of hazel and whittling them down to correct thickness, then sanding and varnishing is enough for anyone....on top of the leatherwork too....from a business p.o.v. a lot of work...

i came across an american guy the other night who specialises in these....they were art....every one handpainted with acrylics....twirling flowers and stems....the lot....and charges only 6 bucks each???????? i simply dont get it....he must be an eccentric millionaire who just does them for some pleasure....i dunno....but i'd lose my house if i did that.
