No, easy once you learned. We still live by that rule in my family!
Large fish we fillet, then eat or freeze and take home.

My son (21) was tought how to fillet fish by a professional fisherman about 10 years ago. I am proud to say that his result is by far the best I have ever seen. The fish carcass is basically meat free. His fillets are 100% bone free. If we ever find a bone, we email him with a picture as proof. As a joke, of course.
I am the Fish Cheek and deskinning person.
I also do the Cod tongues. But those are fairly easy to harvest.
