Back from the Moot...

Well - thanks to caravans, tractors and numpties it took 6 hours to get home instead of the 51/2 it took me to get to the Moot ... but I got back safe and sound
I have counted the monies that have passed through my hands , intended for Ty Hafan children's hospice - total £1463 ... a record by a long way! I still have to try and work out how much was donated directly (if I can) but I can be confident that we have topped the £1500 mark .... nearly twice any previous year (the totals exceeded this in the past couple of years only because a very generous person matched the total that came through my hands) - I will give an up date if I can!
Many thanks to Tony et al who make the Moot possible and also to all you great folk who throw cash at my favourite charity , just because I make a prat of myself
Thanks too to all those at the moot who, with their skills and willingness to share, make the moot the formidably good experience it always is! ....

I was quite concerned about this John.

Either it was a supposed joke that went on far too long or it was some sort of superstitious fear (of what, I don’t know)

In the first instance someone needs to own up.

In the second someone needs help.

I don’t know how many Christians were at the Moot but were I one of them I would have resented the abuse of the icon.

John, I hope very much that it didn’t detract from your enjoyment of the moot. It was a sick joke or a cowardly attack.

Thank you for rising above it and entertaining us as much as you did.

Nah - it was all in good fun and I enjoyed it
If I was not the recipient of such pranks I would think no one loved me any more
I have kept the crosses (and the valve caps) and will use them as decoration on future camps (the caps will be a constant part of my van now) as I will the soft toys that I have found in my camp on other Moots..
As a non -Christian, but one who respects their ethos, I find the design and making of the crosses interesting and attractive but do not fear the symbology nor do I attach any other real emotion to the design - the simplicity of the design as a craft piece works nicely though
As a prank I found it entertaining and played along ... but I would like to know which reprobate(s) were involved!

As soon as I went to the van to do it's pre-trip home checks windscreen wash, clean lights ...and tyre pressure!
