b&q wood for spoon?

Hey guys

I recently got some wood from b&q for my buck saw project (juat says redwood on It)

I have quite a bit left over so was wonder if after ive oiled it...will that wood be safe to eat from?

Yes, perfectly safe to use. It is Pinus sylvestris but is called Redwood as it allows sourcing from around europe & russia where it's non latin name alters according to area grown.
