One rusty Kent pattern hatchete, removed broken shaft, gave it a quick sharpen, then left it in vinegar for 10 days. (sorry about pics, they were from phone)

Chunk of ash roughly shaped, been beside the stove for 10 days as well.

Hopefully finish the shaft and fit it tommorrow, this time I'll not be so lazy and use the camrera:)

Nice one mate - I did similar to a kent pattern and it's great to put an old tool back into service. Nicely done! :)

managed to grab half an hour, head blued and shaft fitted, still to wedge it and oil the shaft, top axe is a cheap £3 ish silverline one , reprofiled as a left handed side axe.
