I bought a Wetterlinger long hunters axe and the handle is not quite perfect.
The grain is diagonal and the base of the handle is slightly twisted. The top 3/4 is fine and the head is well aligned so the axe is still functional, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a source for replacement handles? I've look all over the net and cant find so much as a hint of anyone who stocks them and or can get them.

Does anyone know where to purchase a replacement?

I have thought about sending the axe back but I live in Australia and by the time i have paid postage it will cost more than just buying a new axe......
Also there are no local dealers here.

Any help would be great!

If you give the dimensions to Gransfors Bruks... they may have a handle to fit the pit.

On another note, my Weterlings axe was much the same. I didn't have any problems with it (functionally) but I do understand the problem. If you buy something, you expect it to be done correctly.

Here is GB site. They have a contact ph #. I would give them a call and see what they have.

Hi mate,

talk to Andrew at Outdoorcode. He has got hold of replacement GB handles for me and others and he stocks Wetterlings. If they are available, Andrew is the man for the job!
