I live half surrounded by trees and ivy. Insects are a constant thing in my life.
I don't mind them outside, but if I find it in my home, it's either thrown out or it's dead.
....vine weevils don't get the option, they're dead. Everything else gets thrown out as a first reaction.

Spider catcher, litter picker with a bristle end, best £10 I've ever spent, allows me to appear brave in front of my wife because I don't have to get nearer than 3 feet

It's breeding season. You see more because the males are out trying to find a mate. They are in the house all year round, they don't 'come in' for Autumn. If you catch one, and throw it out, it will find its way back in.
