I am not quite sure where to post this - so I am posting it here! :)
One of BcUKs Full Members very wisely bought a ticket to the forthcoming Winter Moot (https://www.bushmoot.com/tickets/winter-moot) but has found that they will be unable to attend (poor soul - what an event to miss!) and so has offered the ticket to me to auction in aid of my favourite charity Ty Hafan (https://www.tyhafan.org/) a most wonderful children's hospice.
Before I go any further I should point out that, although auctions are rare on BcUK, Tony has very kindly authorised this one...
If you want to bid in the auction for the ticket ( normal price £180.00 - that shows how generous this donation is!) simply put up your bid here - let's face it - if you have not got your ticket yet you really should get a move on to acquire one!
The cut off date will be - 6 pm Dec 12th (so that you could even get the ticket as an Xmas prezzie for a loved one) - so highest bid at 6 pm on 12/12/24 (it has a symmetry) will have a copy of the ticket confirmation PMed to them - once I get the cheque/bank transfer sent to me!
I will PM the winner with my address or bank details for them to make the choice of payment method (cheque made out to Ty Hafan posted to me, transfer to me and I will make out the cheque on my account and publish a photo of my handing the cheque over - that should cover "transparency").
So - get bidding folks! I know you are all very generous - at the Summer Moot this year I managed to raise a grand total of £1830.50 over two days! (https://bushcraftuk.com/community/threads/fund-raising-at-the-moot-an-error.166501/)
