I know that it is used as a replacement for the real thing but I have no experience on the material. How good is it and should one use PE or PA based. As a guess PE takes sun better but not quite as abrasion resistant. So is it useful?

I didnt know there was a difference.

it sems to be waxed so that might protect it.

Its very useful, comes in rather thick but you can split it into up to 6 strips. And, different colours

white or cream would be the most natural.

Its not expensive so get some to try.

Id let you have some of mine but my kits in Cornwall at the moment.
