So - can we talk price? $129.95 US price in the UK will probably equate to around £100-110. With the Alpkit Brukit - 1 litre pot, insulated cover, integral burner and piezo igniter, similar boil times etc - currently going for £29.75 https://www.alpkit.com/products/brukit , and capable of taking a 230gm gas cylinder internally, surely it's a no-brainer (unless you think a plastic cup is worth £70-80! ) Oh, and a folding base foot costing a couple of pounds on ebay.

Whilst I'm well-known for my love of shinies -especially stoves! - I can't fault the Brukit in use, and just can't see where the MSR can justify it's extraordinary price level. Unlike the MSR, the Brukit pot is a genuine 1 litre pot, with the I-litre marking well below the lip. Sorry, but just can't see the value in the MSR product.
