I have one of these as well , I'd say the XL is very generous , easily fits me at 50" with room to spare.

i agree with the above bought it for target shooting on top of a mountain in caerphilly bloody cold the week after i bought it the range shut down so im in a tunnel in barry and have no need for it know, i also have a pair of thermal trousers which i will be listing later on
