Are these wild plums?

Am I correct in thinking these are wild plums? Or at least some sort of plums that could be turned into jam I found a whole tree of them in an edgerow. They are about 1/2" diameter.

I am glad about that That's the most important, I'll be off back there tomorrow. Now I need to find a recipe. How about using those plums, whichever they are, and blackberry? Would that be a good combination?
