Been very lucky this week as far as Burrs are concerned, I've got a cracking Oak Burr drying in the shed at work for knife scales and the other day we worked on an Apple tree covered in em, I am drying most of it out, but last night I carved a Kuksa from some so heres some pics.

Lovely! Apple is my favourite fruit wood to carve, and it finishes really nicely while feeling almost rubbery in texture. How's that dead patch? Hope it doesn't go all the way through. I have a couple of birch burr kuksas which need patching because of this. I've had success with douglas fir sap and charcoal glue so I'm gonna make some this weekend.

I really like the shape of it.
