Apple Box Oven

We made pizza in one at a Scout Camp it worked OK but our fire was a bit big.
We used the embers a fire not Charcoal my advice is just keep the fire small

Just go for it the fun is in trying new things.

I was up at Silverwood Scout Camp and was helping out with the girl Guides when they cooked some cakes in one of these. I had never seen it done before, but apparently the way you lay the foil on is very important! As it says, lay the foil shiney side down. This actually makes a big difference, if you put the foil on th wrong way, the box burns!

They did it slightly differently but the principle is the same.

I have baked some very good cakes in this kind of oven - they work well!

Done it a few times with the scouts, but I think the idea came from the guides. It works better than you would think. We used a disposable BBQ in the bottom and made pizza.
