I got one for Christmas :approve:

It's worth every penny too, if mine died tomorrow I'd buy another one. :D It's wide enough, and long enough, to sleep on properly; it's warm, not just comfortable, it's actually warmer than any other mat I've used.

Mine has the self inflating pump system, the first one I tried had the dry bag and tube, all I can say is that both work, and both work very well indeed.

cheers,
Toddy

Bugger.

I didn't even realise these things existed before this thread. And i thought my knock off thermarest was the bee's-Knee's .

Well i gotta get one now have'nt I.

Pricey , but a good nights sleep is worth a lot.

The exped mats are today, what Thermarest has been when it was first introduced:
the most comfortable way to sleep.
If they have any disadvantage, its that they are rather loud when the sleeper ist turning around. The Synmat much more than the Downmat.
And you wont get them as lightweight as thermarest can make some .
But they are so comfortable to sleep on.

How do they translate in terms of Bulk and size? I know what the weight is but do they pack to a reasonable size?

Seeing the Artiarch (now Trangoworld) mats I must commend them.

I've had two of the standard sized ones for 9 years; used extensively and treated quite harshly. One finally developed a (repairable) leak last year. Not bad I say.
