Anyone know the Bundeswehr issue hatchet/Klauenbeil??

Hi guys,
I am looking for any info on the standard uissue german army hatchet, the socalled klauenbeil.
It is a hatchet on one end and a hammer/nailpuller on the other.
These hatchets have caught my eye on several occassions, dwelling on the net, but I never saw one irl, let alone feel it.

How does it handle?
Is it durable and easily maintained/sharpenend?
Is it worth getting one?

My local surplus store has several of these. I cannot comment on how good they are. Those that I've seen were pretty banged up with dings in the edge. Possibly with a lot of work they could be rejuvenated but I've never tried.
