Anyone hazard a guess what this is please?

I've absolutely no idea, so they won't be going within 100 feet of my kitchen... but they are all over my front lawn and I'm curious.

I'm no expert but could be a russula of some kind?
The examples you've shown look a little tired which makes it harder...

Have a look at rogersmushrooms.com. they've got a good key you can use to limit selections by habitat, colour, flesh type etc. and an excellent gallery too

There is a whole rissotto out there at the moment... pity I haven't a clue about mushrooms.
