Yeah I was not thinking of coffee (Coffee bags rock).
It was actual lentils that sparked the idea however it seems like it would be a useful thing to have. A lot of things can be turned into flour.
All of the options so far seem to large or heavy for what I was thinking of.

As a blender, I was about to suggest something like a Mouli Legumes but they can be expensive and are not really that portable! Although not ideal, I've found a good ol' potato masher and/or a fork work reasonably well but I suppose you have to accept that you'll never quite get that perfectly smooth soup or sauce using one.

Grinders are another thing. I've yet to find one that does the job passably without flexing or collapsing after a few uses. In light of that, I just carry ready-ground coffee.
