This was on the trail camera this morning.it looks like a squirrel being attacked by something.the only other photos were a chaffinch and a jay

It looks more like a jay taking off, beak on the right, white rum and legs on the bottom left. I can't make out a tail but it's probably poking up and covered by the wings.

I think it is a jay because of the blue on the top of the bird,but the white bit at the back looks more furry than feathery,and looks like the underside of a squirrel.then again itis quite blurry

If jays are anything like chickens the feathers on their underside are very fluffy and can look like fur.

The more i look at it I think you're right .it is only the second time we've used it and I think I was hoping for something special.The first time we used it all we had was 61 photos of my lad and myself setting it up

Another vote for Jay. Got a flight of around eight of them hereabouts at the moment, they seem to be keeping well away from Mr Sparrowhawk who has been mobbed a few times by crows, who also have a go at the resident Buzzard.

Just shown the picture to the missus and she could see that it was a bird with a white rump ,she thought it could be taking off.I can still see the squirrel ,time to visit Specsavers I think
