if you google "campaign hat" you should get that hat.

our forest and park service people wear them. the us 7th cavalry still does for ceremonial events.

our state police are called smokies because smokey the bear wore one when he warrned us about forest fires and they do when they are giving us speeding tickets.

as good as the movie was read the book. who'd a thought elmore leonard wrote some best old west fiction ever.

The DIs (Drill Instructers) in all services still wear them (the real campaign hats, not the ceremonial ones worn by the 7th) www.millerhats.com/campaign_index/index.html They call them "Smokeys" too. They're also worn by the RCMP and the Boy Scout's scoutmasters.
