Antler Knife Handle

I have an old Mora Training Knife with a green plastic handle that I bought from the Ray Mears Website, and want to replace the handle with a deer antler one. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can remove the old plastic moulded handle?

I usually cut down along the side of the blade with a hack saw. Clean, safe, simple and effective.

If its a clipper - then beware its not the stick tang i think you might be expecting to find

Probably not suited to antler i wouldn't have thought ?

Reindeer antler may be OK due to being more solid that red deer etc but I would think the tang is too small.
Buy a new blade is my advice or rehandle it with wood.
