Added some more fishing hooks to the collection. As yet they are untried. However,looking at primitive fishing methods this design seems to work well.

So does the fish swallow the hook and it's stuck in its throat ? Good skills by the way I like the little tub too

I believe that gorge hooks are illegal to use in this country.

I'm pretty sure it's another piece of antler hollowed out. could be wrong though.

Nice work bud. Finished making some myself a few days back. Haven't made a case for mine yet there in a plastic bag.Is the case made from Hazel?

The case is made from a piece of hollowed out red deer antler with a 12bore cartridge case insert

Very nice kit.
Tip: When you need to do small stuff like needles and gorges, it's very handy to glue them to a larger stick with a bit of pitch glue. The big stick makes for a great handle so you can apply a lot of force and sand/scrape the small stock down as thin as you want. If you need to turn the needle or gorge, simply warm up the pitch glue. When all's said and done, it's easy to clean up the finished piece.
