Hearty brekkie in the morning (cheers dave) and back to the real, and slightly more mundane world... Until next time!

As usual, everyone brought something to share, from food to skills and it was a most splendid night!

In the sunny autumn morning, camp was swept, and off we trooped home. Another meet planned sometime soon...

Hope you enjoyed the piccy's as much as we did making them.

Did you get fire from the bow afterwards Scott? And how was that lamb in the end? Looked damned good to me, and i was sorry to have to walk away from it, but I had some nice sirloin waiting for me at home...

Had a great time on my short visit, but next time it is someone else's turn to fall in the river, ok?

It was great fun! i thought i'd missed out on the birds nests due to the time of year and the constant rain up here... But scots excellent idea of a bag full of straw kept us amused for an hour or so.

The char cloth (denim) brought flame on much quicker than the cramp balls, but it was great fun working for it with a small section of C.B, and watching the smoke slowly build up, until your hands felt a huge rise in the heat from the nest, shortly before it caught and flamed.

It felt very primative, and was excellent fun! few sparks, small ember, nest, tlc, flame :)

Regards, TBL.

I'll leave scott to fill you in on the bow, and the lamb was divine... took 5 hours in the making, but it was worth the wait!

It was good to see you pal, and there will be another meet coming up fortnight after Rough Close, I might pop out for a solo before that though, its addictive stuff :)
