Aniseed smell.

I'm new to bushcraft but work doing minor works and Deveg for the railways. On Friday whilst hedgecutting I got a really strong smell of Aniseed. It smelt amazing but I've no idea what it was that was causing it and what to look for.
Anybody know?

Just checked online and it seems you are correct. Cheers Paul. I'll know what to look for and hang it in my car. Reminds me of Aniseed balls when I was a kid or rock from Whitby.

The other one that smells like that is Sweet Cicely Small ferny type plant with long ovoid, ribbed, black, seed pods.

Cheers Toddy. Ill check that one online too and keep an eye out. Since trying to get more into bushcraft, I'm noticing more whilst on the job. I travel a lot and get to so.e places in the sticks where only the railway children see lol.
