North of the southern wall.
anyone north of the wall know anything about the above? who does one talk to about it, the gestapo or local Gauleiter? If one already has an air rifle or pistol does one not need a license but to buy more one would?
Is it a license to buy or own and use? or is it n/a as it's still part of the UK (for now at least)

only heard about it on the radio the other day.

You now need to have a license to have any form of air rifle / pistol, even if you bought it before the law came into effect. A firearms license doesn't cover it, for whatever daft reason.

So, anyone can own a much more powerful catapult, than 12ft/lbs, or a crossbow etc without a license?

They must have worked out how many people had an air rifle, times it by £72, and realised it would pay for all the coppers mountains bikes.....

Actually an SGC or FAC does cover it until renewal of those certs, at which point you need to apply for an airgun cert. The Bobbies can than catch it all on the one visit, no idea on additional costs for the added airgun cert to combined SGC or FAC.

Unless you want to buy a new air gun, in Scotland, in which case you need to apply earlier. Nothing stopping you nipping over the border and buying in England as the SGC or FAC would cover possession in Scotland on the drive home.

looks like its going to be going south of the border to the father in law then, not coughing up £72 every five years just for the privilege, for the few times I actually use it.....shame.... bow/crossbow n arrows it is then.....
