accidents

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
I was making a new bow drill set, I slipped and my knife said hello to my little finger between my knuckle and first joint.

 Sounds painful. I took the top of my little finger off when i was wiping my blade! (as explained) That was bad.

I have just got back from a weekend away. I dont think i have cut myself so much in all my life!

I was whittling some wood and gave myself two cutin the top of my index finger and thumb. I was then cutting a fallen tree, i didnt realise that it was off balance, so when i cut through it it bounced up and cut the skin on my right index knuckle. And lastly i cut my thumb while preparing some steak. I dont even know how i managed to be stupid enough to injure myself 3 time in a day  :-? .

Cheers,

Jake

i've lost count of how many cuts and scrapes i've had, but the worst has to be a 5" angle grinder jumping out of my hand, hitting me in the chest (not the blade luckily, as it was doing 10,000 rpm) and falling on to the back of my hand.

i have no idea how it managed to miss all the nice important things (like tendons) but all i have is a 1 inch scar.

fortune favours the brave (or stupid) i guess :-?
