Seeing your hobo post reminded me of smoke tins we used to make to keep midges at bay while bottle diggin.
an then I remembered my jetboil an wondered.....what if ???
well the answer was a good un....handful o kindlin, some dried nettle pith an a couple o strips o paper, add a few sparks an I had two mugs worth o boiled watta in the same time ! good health

The dog meyt can is a snug grip on the Jetboils base....bonus !

I'll be lookin for a slightly wider can though so the jetboil fits inside for a more compact carry ;) I'll just throw in a couple of bike spokes for a the pot to stand on.

Very efficient

just noticed your 'feeder' door in the side ! doh.....missed that....back aht wi the SOG then ;)

Thanks Samon

it isn't a snug fit in the pics as i hadnt pushed it home in case it expanded faster than the can rim. im going to have another burn once I've cut a feeder door in ;)

Looking good mate! I've found the short tins don't work as well but the big tin like yours let's the flames get higher and hotter!

Good to see more aspiring hobos!

feeder hole added....plenty of steamin hot watta ;)
I remembered to role the mugs liner up this time lol
